21 Day Fix Extreme Disc 1.
This DVD contains five Fix Extreme workouts.
The workouts on disc 1 are:

  • Plyo Fix Extreme
  • Upper Fix Extreme
  • Pilates Fix Extreme
  • Lower Fix Extreme
  • 10 Min Hardcore
This is a review of the first four workouts. 
Most of the workouts feature the same warm-up moves.  The warm is roughly around a minute and a half.  This is Beach Body, so the countdown clock and subtitles are present in each of the workouts.  Autumn talks to the camera offering tips and motivation.  There is a beginner modifier in each of the workouts. 

Plyo Fix Extreme clocks in at just over 30 minutes. In this workout, Autumn takes you through 5 rounds that are repeated twice. There are two exercises in each round.  Each exercise is performed for  30 seconds and then Autumn gives you a 30-second break.  During the rest, Autumn demonstrates the next move.  The last exercise is performed for a minute.  The cooldown is just over two minutes. It is a plyo workout, so expect jumping. This was a challenging workout, I was definitely feeling it by the end of the 30 seconds. This workout uses two sets of dumbbells.

Upper Fix Extreme uses a resistance band as well as light and heavy weights.  There are three rounds and you do each round twice. There are four exercises per round.  Each exercise is performed for a minute.  Autumn starts you off with the heavy set of dumbbells. At the 30-second mark, you grab the light set.  This creates a drop set effect.  Each round focuses on a particular group of muscles  Round 1 is chest and back. Round 2 is shoulder and abdominal, and round 3 is biceps and triceps.    The workout clocks in at 33:45  The rest are short less, than 15 seconds.  Cooldown is 45 seconds.
Pilates Fix Extreme clocks in at 32:28.  This workout uses a resistance band.  The warm-up is a bit longer at 2 minutes and 20 seconds and the moves are different. The rest varies in this workout but each of the exercises is performed for a minute.  Autumn uses the rest to demonstrate the upcoming move. This is a floor-based workout.  Cooldown is 1:35.

In Lower Fix Extreme, there are four rounds of three exercises performed twice through. Equipment list includes light and medium weights and a resistance band.  There is quite a bit of jumping in this workout. It is a power leg workout.  The exercises are performed for a minute.  Autumn changes the workout at the 30-second mark usually by increasing the intensity by making the move explosive. The cooldown is 1:11.  The workout clocks in at 33:51.
