Jessica Smith Walk On Metabolism Booster - Thoughts

Walk On Metabolism Booster with Jessica Smith. Just realized when I was planning May rotation that I never reviewed this workout. The DVD Menu Play All Upper Body Circuit Walk Lower Body Circuit Walk Total Body Time Saver Bonus Routine for Stronger Knees Lower Body Circuit Walk clocks in at just under 35 minutes.  Jessica uses a pair of weights to increase the intensity of the resistance moves.  You are doing each of the exercises for two sets of 16 or so reps. Jessica adds cardio breaks in between each grouping of exercises. Upper Body Circuit Walk clocks in at a little over 35 minutes.  In this workouts, Jessica performs three upper body exercises back to back, repeats those exercises and then moves on to a cardio break, before taking on another group of three exercises.  The last grouping are standing core exercises.  Jessica uses a pair of weight for the strength exercises. Jessica Smith Soothing Stretch

  From Jessica Smith All Access Pass is Soothing Stretch .  This workout clocks in at just under 22 minutes.   Jessica takes you through a series of standing and lying exercise that are design to open up the body.  This workout moves very slowly.  You are holding each position for at least 25 to 30 seconds or more.  You also enter and exit each move in a very deliberate way.   There is not a warm up but for this particular stretch workout, I don't think one is necessarily needed. Nevertheless, I did do a low impact cardio workout prior to doing this one.  Overall I like this workout as it force me to quiet the mind. There is nothing about this workout that is frantic or suggest being in a hurry. 3 & 1/4 stars

May 2023 Monthly Workout Schedule This month is Jessica Smith barre inspired workouts and Andrea Rogers XB Sculpt & Sweat workouts.  For Sundays I am still continuing with with iFIT 5K USA workouts.  On tap this month, I will be running through California, Colorado an Connecticut.  

Jessica Smith Fusion Flow + Glow - Review

Fusion Flow + Glow contains three 30-minute workouts and one 13-minute bonus workout.  All the workouts used a set of gliders.  Jessica Smith leads the workouts and she is the only cast member. DVD Menu Introduction Full Body Flow Fusion Flow Sculpt Core Strength and Stretch Bonus:  Pilates Core Series  In Full Body Flow , Jessica takes you through a series of large range of motion exercises using a set of gliders and a chair.  Several plank exercises that can be done from the chair or the floor are included in the workout.  Fusion Flow Sculpt uses a glider and a pair of dumbbells.  Most of the exercises in this workout are compound in nature.  Almost all exercises are performed for two sets - first leading right and then leading left.  This was my favorite workout of the three 30-minute workouts.   Core Strength and Stretch is a floor based workout.  Even the warm-up is performed from the floor.  The gliders and a mat ...

Total Body Strength Training is part of Jessica Smith's 2022 Strong & Centered series.  Jessica is the only cast member. This workout contains three strength training workouts. Total Body 48 is a 48 minute workout that uses dumbbells, a step, and a mat.  In this workout, Jessica takes you through four circuits.  The first and third circuits are performed in the standing position. The second and fourth circuits are performed from the floor.  The tempo is measured.  First time through, you are performing the exercises at a slower tempo and during the second run through Jessica might speed up the tempo. Total Body 31 is 31 minutes in length.  It is similar to 48 in the setup and execution. However, there are only three circuits. Total Body Band uses resistance tubing and it is an option if you are in travel mode.   There are three circuits that follow a similar format like the other two workouts on this DVD.  Total Body Band is 28 minutes...

Work It! Total Body Circuit. is part of Jessica Smith 2022 Strong & Centered series. This DVD has two strength based workouts. Workout 1 is 48 minutes in length and workout 2 is 38 minutes in length. In each workout, Jessica includes an extended warm up before taking you through 4 circuits of 2 to 5 exercises per circuit. Jessica uses two set of weights (light & heavy). Expect lots of reps and some mobility work. You are repeating most of the circuits twice. The second time through, Jessica speeds up the pace.   Jessica is only cast member.     3 stars

The Ying Yang Fusion Workout with Guillermo Gomez and Jessica Smith

The Yin Yang Fusion Workout. I have had the DVD for ages. I thought I had done it before but did not find a review for it.  I did it this week as an add-on.  The DVD contains five 15-minute workouts.  All the workout had a martial arts influences.  The DVD Menu Introduction (1) Cardio:  Expansion & Contraction (2) Total Body:  Strength & Flexibility (3) Lower Body:  Rhythm & Balance (4) Core:  Power & Flow (5) Relax:  Movement & Stillness Play All Guillermo Gomez leads workout 1 Cardio Expansion & Contraction .  This workout is kickboxing based.  Guillermo teaches a combo that  he repeats on the right and then the left.  This workout reminded me of his longer Fat Burning Kickboxing workouts.  Very easy to do and follow. April 2021 - Workouts - What I Did

  April 2021 My rotation for April consisted of treadmill, Cathe, The FIRM, Zumba and one of Jessica Smith's new workout. I have not been particularly motivated to complete an actual rotation. So for April, I decided to do a plan but not hold myself to the plan if I felt like doing something else. Originally, for April I had all Cathe workouts schedule, but later decided to switch it up. The only thing that I am committed to is to do at least 30 minutes of any workout  six days a week. Most workouts that I schedule are between 30 and 40 minutes.  The only real exception was Sunday treadmill runs.

Jessica Smith Yoga Fusion Fix - Thoughts

Yoga Fusion Fix is one of Jessica Smith's latest yoga inspired workouts.  There are three workouts of varying lengths. Workout 1 is Yoga for Stress Relief + Relaxation.   This workout starts seated and the first move is a seated cat cow pose.   Side stretches, rotational twist  and chest extensions and seated forward fold are next.   For the next sequence, Jessica has you move into the table top position for more cat-cow and downward dog.   Other moves in this workout include, plank to floating child pose, baby cobra, puppy pose and bridge pose.   This workout is around 17 minutes. Yoga for Balance + Core Strengt h. Thin In 10 is a workout DVD that accompany The Thin In 10 Weight-Loss Plan book written by Jessica Smith and Liz Neporent. This DVD contains five roughly 10-minute plus workouts. The DVD Menu Introduction Cardio Quickie Strength Shot Total Body Band Core Conditioning Stretch & De-Stress Play All Cardio Quickie is an interval workout that alternates 40 seconds of low intensity movement with 20 seconds of a higher intensity of work.  At the lower intensity Jessica says you should strive to be at around a level 6 and for the higher intensity move strive for an 8 level of effort. The moves in this workout are: 1. Side to Side Hop Through + Reach for It 2. Single arm swim arms + Double arm swim arms 3. Walk forward & back +  Run in place 4. Step Punch Front + Scissor Jacks 5. Disc 5 of Jessica Smith 8 Week Program is F usion Mix  The workouts on this DVD are: Barefoot Cardio Core Tone + Flow Pilates + Yoga Barefoot Cardio Core is a fast pace high rep workout. The workout use a play ball and is basically a drill based workout done with flowing and expansive movements. The warm up is approximately 5 minutes and after the warm up the tempo picks ups.  Side to side toe taps is your transition move.  Other moves include 180 degree sweeps, chops, curtsy, lunges, hamstring curl, figure 8s, grand plies, skaters, and side leg lift with side crunches. Tone + Flow is essentially divided into three segments.  There is a flowing warm up and body weight toning segment, there is a toning segment that uses a pair of dumbbells ( starts when the timer is around 23:50 mark) and there is a standing abs and core segment (starts when the time is around 9:30 mark).  There is a cool down that is around 2 minutes.  Jessica calls thi...

Strength is Disc 4 of Jessica Smith 8 Week Program.  The workouts are: Total Body Upper Body  Lower Body Each workout clocks in at 30 minutes. Total Body features around a 4 minute warm up.  Following the warm up, there are four circuits.  The first three circuits you repeat twice through.  The last circuit is floor work. The cool down is around 2 and 1/2 minutes. Upper Body workout contains standing and floor work. In fact, part of the warm up is floor based.  Like most of Jessica's workout, this workout is performed in a circuit format and you are repeating most circuits twice through.  Jessica uses a mix tempo, depending on the exercise you will either perform the move as a single or half count move.  The Lower Body workout uses an optional step.  Jessica performs the exercises in a circuit.  She will do 3 to 4 exercises and then repeat those exercises before moving on to the next group.  Jessica include active res...

Disc 3 Sculpt of Jessica Smith's contains three 30-minute workouts:  Metabolic Conditioning, Cardio Interval Sculpt, and Barre Sculpt.  These workouts are mostly focused on sculpting but there is a cardio factor to each workout. Metabolic Conditioning uses a mini-step (also called a high step), two to three set of dumbbells, a mat and a towel.  The step is optional.  In this workout, Jessica introduces each move slowly and then picks up the pace for the latter reps. The ending stretch is just over 2 minutes. Cardio Interval Sculpt uses a mat and dumbbells.  This workout contains 30-second cardio intervals.  Typically you are doing three compound or multi-joint exercises followed by a cardio interval.  The ending stretch in this workout is around one minute and thirty-five seconds. Disc 1 of Jessica Smith's Walk Strong: The 6 Week Total Transformation System includes a Welcome to the Program and two cardio workouts. Workout 1 is Cardio Party and along with Jessica there are six cast members.   Jessica states that some of the cast members are community members.  Cardio Party is a steady state cardio workouts with more of a dance flair.  There is a variety of musical rhythms and genres.  Jessica does quite a bit of clapping in this workout. Jessica always takes you back to the base move of walking in place. She then tells you what you are going to do and then you do it. This workout does not really have a warm up but it does have a cool down stretch. Interval Mix is a high energy walking and functional strength (in the form of planks) workout.  In Interval Mix, Jessica takes you through four interval rounds.  Within each round, Jessica increases the intensity as she progresses through the round. Jessica Smith Dance Walk DVD contain two 30-minute dance inspired workouts.  Along with Jessica, there is one other cast member and this cast members show less intense versions of the moves. The DVD Menu  Latin Dance Walk Dance Walk Play All  The play all workout options clocks in at under 63 minutes.  These workouts are filmed outside  with a pool and a pier as the back drop. These workouts are aerobic base and they are a good way to get your steps in. If you have done any of Jessica Smith walking workouts, some of the music tunes and dance moves will  be familiar to you. Jessica introduces you to each move. Sometimes she will have you watch her first and then join in when you are ready.  After performing each move, you return back to the standard walk.  Jessica repeats various moves as she takes you through the workout. Jessica Smith Tone Your Trouble Zones - Review

Tone Your Trouble Zones contains two thirty minute workouts.  Jessica combines walking with targeted toning exercises for the buns, thighs, and abs. The DVD has the following menu options: Buns and Thighs Walk Flat Abs Walk Play All Play All clocks in at just under 64 minutes. There are two other cast members along with Jessica. One cast member does show beginner modification.  Jessica does include impact in the form of butt kickers and jacks. These workout were filmed outdoors near a boating pier. I have done several of Jessica's walking workouts.  The music and exercises chosen have appeared in other workouts. Thus, I felt a real familiarity with workouts.  I have included a list of the exercises Jessica performs in this workout. While I only listed the exercise once, some of the exercises Jessica repeats as she moves through the workout. Buns and Thighs Walk - 3 & 3/4 stars Flat Abs Walk - 3 stars
