Image
Total Body Timesaver Sculpt features Kelly Coffey-Meyer delivering five timesaver workouts. 'Sculpt' is part of a two disc series with the other disc being "Strength'. DVD Menu Warm up  Cardio Box & Tone  Shadow Boxing Intervals Abdominals The warm up on this DVD is the same as the warm up on the 'Strength' DVD.  The warm up is about 7 minutes which is a bit long for a Kelly warm up.  Kelly is the only participant in the warm up. Cardio is around an 18-minute workout.  Along with Kelly, there are two other participants.  Kelly takes you through a series of hi-low moves. You do each move for a minute. Box & Tone is the longest of the timesaver workouts, clocking in at around 20 minutes, but Kelly does an intro for the 1st minute.   This workout uses lightweights. Each move is performed for 45 seconds.  Kelly alternates upper body boxing drills with lower body toning moves.  The exercises are performed twice through. The second ...

CoffeyFit RAW January 2023 Workouts.

Image
CoffeyFit RAW January 2023 Workouts . Kelly released two new RAW workouts for the APP. The workout feature Kelly and Kaitlyn. RAW Stepboxing Drills clocks in at 32:15.   In StepBoxing Drills you are working each move for 45 seconds.  There are two rounds and 12 exercises.  You repeat the 12 exercises in the second round. Kelly and Kaitlyn use a light pair of weights and a step. Their steps were pretty high. I believe they each had 3 risers. RAW Hi/Low Sculpt is a 30 minute workout. The workout uses one dumbbell. The basic pattern of this workout is that you perform a sculpting move with the right lead. Then you repeat that move leading left.  This is followed by a "cardio" burst that can be high impact or low impact. Kaitlyn is doing the high impact moves and Kelly the low impact moves. There are four groupings of this pattern which are repeated for a second round.

Kelly Coffey-Meyer Coffeyfit-Raw Fitness Ladder 2 - Review

Image
Fitness Ladder 2 is a 60-minute plus workout from Kelly's RAW series.  In this workout, Kelly  has your doing a series of 14 exercises back-to-back.  You get a minute break and then your repeat the exercises in reverse order.  You get another minute break and then your repeat the exercises again in the original order. All in all, you are doing three sets of each of the excises and you are doing each exercise for a minute. And yes, on some exercises, the minute got long.  Within each exercise, Kelly varies the tempo of the exercises. Some are single count, some you are doing a 3/1 count etc. Kelly uses two sets of  weights (light and heavy). Throughout the workout you will hear the timer bell go off, signaling the start and/or stop of the minute. There is a warm up and cool down but there is no menu. As soon as you put the DVD in, the DVD begins to play and goes straight into the workout after about 20 seconds.  Joining Kelly in the workout is Noelle. ...

Kelly Coffey Meyer Cardio Pump - Review

Image
30 Minutes To Fitness  Cardio Pump is a Kelly Coffey Meyer Spring 2015 release.  Cardio Pump features two 30 minutes workouts. Workout one is a cardio boxing workout that clocks in at 30 minutes.  Kelly extended her cast for this.  Besides Kelly, there are seven cast members. I really like this one.  The music is upbeat and high tempo and full of energy that doesn't feel forced.  The combinations flowed really well together and felt seamless.   There is a kickboxing element to the workout, although I will say there is more boxing than kicking. Workout two is Pump.  It has the same cast as Workout One and it clocks in at just under 33 minutes.  This workout shares the same warm up as Workout one.  In Pump, Kelly takes your through each body part.  There are three exercises per body part and you do each exercise for one set for around a minute.  Workout Two is quite a bit slower in tempo and energy than Workou...

Kelly Coffey-Meyer Get Ready, Step, Go! - Thoughts

Image
Get Ready, Step, Go!. This is one of the first workouts put out by Kelly Coffey-Meyer. I really like all of the creative names that Kelly came up with for her first group of workouts. Get Ready, Step, Go! is approximately a 50 minute pure (emphasizing pure) athletic step workout. This was my first time doing this workout and I found the combinations easy to pick up. There is nothing complicated about the choreography. The step portion of the workout is divided into two parts. The first part you are using the step in the vertical position. This is the major part of the workout and it's about 30 minutes in length. The second part, the step is in the horizontal position for the next 15 minutes of the workout. The last 5 minutes you are performing standing waist/core work followed by a brief stretch. Squats, lunges, jacks, plyos, skis, skates are all moves used throughout the workout. The music - started off blah with the warm up song and then picked up in tempo and energy a...

Kelly Coffey Meyer Cardio/Sculpt Fitness - Thoughts

Image
Cardio/Sculpt Fitness . How many workouts do I have with those words? Many, I tell you. Well this Cardio/Sculpt Fitness work is a 69 minute workout that alternates cardio sets with sculpting sets. Kelly has a unique pattern that she uses in her workouts. Well at least I haven't seen the pattern in other workouts but I have seen the pattern in several of Kelly's workouts. She does cardio, sculpting set, drill based cardio for 1 minute, and she repeats the sculpting set. So you are hitting the muscle groups twice. In this workouts, I love the cardio, I thought many of the sculpting exercises awkward, and the drills were okay. For the sculpting exercises, I just could not get my body to cooperate. I ended up substituting different moves or changing the rep count for the upper body exercises. The only muscle groups I did as Kelly presented were leg and chest exercises. Almost all of the sculpting exercises were compound in nature. The music for Cardio/Sculpt Fitness is gr...

The Shape of Things to Come . OK. I recently - August I think, acquired this workout. The Shape of Things to Come is a 50 minute cardio sculpting workout. It is basically divided into two segments. Segment one alternates standing sculpting with cardio burst. Segment two alternates chest work with abdominal work. In each each of the segments you are doing two sets of everything with about 8 to 14 reps in each set. The workout moves at a brisk pace with minimum rest between exercises. Kelly uses an 8 inch step (I did too) and two sets of dumbbells. The pattern for the workout: back, cardio burst, back cardio burst shoulders, cardio burst, shoulders, cardio burst biceps , cardio burst, biceps, cardio burst triceps, cardio burst, triceps, cardio burst Leg superset - squats and courtesy dips chest, abs, chest, abs. There is a warm up and a cool down/stretch. The cool down/stretch segment is very brief. The cardio burst are simple get your heart rate up type segments. Kelly calls them ...

Coffeyfit Step Boxing - Review

Image
Kelly Coffey Meyer's Step Boxing is a 53 minute workout that has a little bit of everything. The workout predominately features StepBoxing which is a combination of step aerobics and kickboxing. The thing to note about this workout is that is moves fast. The moves are choregraph to a super fast beat. Oddly enough, (and this is my first time doing this workout) I didn't have any trouble following Kelly's cuing. The moves are simple enough and Kelly repeats the combos several times through. The actual Step Boxing part is only 34 minutes. The rest of the workout consist of a toning section with weights and an abdominal section. I really enjoy the Step Boxing part of this workout the best. I liked how fast it moved. I thought it was a nice change up from what I am used to. The music was also very good and it went really well with the the workout. 4 out of 5 stars.
