Jessica Smith Walk a 5K The Fun Way - thoughts
The warm up and cool down are both 7 minutes in length and the pace of both are slow. Most of the warm up is joint mobility work. The cool down which Jessica calls Active-Recovery series contains ankle mobility work and stretching.
The Walks.
The first walk is Steady Walk and it clocks in at 50 minutes. My apple watch clock the walk at 2.93 miles. It is a pretty basic walk with the traditional walk moves.
The second walk is Fast Walk and it clocks in at 43 minutes. My apple watch clock this walk at 2.67 miles. This walk contains more impact than the steady walk. You are jogging, doing a bit of hopping and jacking. There are intervals in which the tempo of the music speeds up and slows down throughout.
I like these workouts for when I really don't want to think too much. Very easy to follow.
