Holly Perkins Baladea Power - Thoughts
The workout contains two blocks. Each block includes two circuits. One circuit is strength based and one is time based. Each circuit contains five exercises that are performed once for the strength circuit and one for endurance circuit. In the strength circuit you are doing 10 to 15 reps. In the endurance circuit you are doing as many reps as you can in either 30 or 60 seconds.
The exercises in block one are:
1. Power Squats
2. Power Posture – double arm row
3. Shoulder shaper – Overhead press
4. Butt Lift
5. Awesome arms – biceps curl
The exercises in block two are:
1. Courtesy row
2. Triple toner – Overhead triceps press balance on one leg
3. Core galore – wood chops
4. Row 2.0
5. Trouble zone double – bridge chest fly
After the circuit workout you go into a core abdominal phase for a series of exercises for two rounds.
The workout concludes with a four minute cool down.
The set is very busy. Has the appearance of working out in someones living room. The music is so so. I like the concept of this workout - of doing a circuit for strength and then repeating the same group of exercise but emphasizing endurance.
