Jessica Smith Thin In 10 - Thoughts

Thin In 10 is a workout DVD that accompany The Thin In 10 Weight-Loss Plan book written by Jessica Smith and Liz Neporent.
This DVD contains five roughly 10-minute plus workouts.

Cardio Quickie is an interval workout that alternates 40 seconds of low intensity movement with 20 seconds of a higher intensity of work.  At the lower intensity Jessica says you should strive to be at around a level 6 and for the higher intensity move strive for an 8 level of effort.
The moves in this workout are:
1. Side to Side Hop Through + Reach for It
2. Single arm swim arms + Double arm swim arms
3. Walk forward & back +  Run in place
4. Step Punch Front + Scissor Jacks
5. Figure 8 Lunge + Figure 8 Skate

Strength Shot is a strength workout that uses your body weight for resistance.  Jessica  recommends a mat for the floor segment. You are doing each move for a minutes. The moves in this workout are:  squats, elbow planks, alternating reverse lunge, push ups, and super mans. Jessica repeats the moves but she adds as slight variation to each move to make it more challenging the second time through.

In Total Body Band, Jessica uses a resistance band (tube).  This workout moves fast and you go from exercise to exercise.  You are doing each move for a minute.

Rear Lunge Chest Scoop
Lat Pull Down Plie
Shoulder Press Side Step
Bicep Turn & Twist
Triceps Squat
Cardio Burst - Run up down the band
Floor - Bicycle Twist with Band

Core Conditioning is an all floor workout.  Each move is perform for approximately a minute. The exercises are:  crunch, crunch press out, 4-arm plank toe stack, bicycle, all 4s opposite limb extension, side planks, and plank pikes.  The minute got long for a couple of these exercises.

In Stretch and De-Stress, Jessica takes you through a series of seated and lying stretch exercises. She incorporates breath work as she moves through the various stretches.  Hamstring, quads, chest and back are a few of the areas, Jessica focuses on.

The set was big and bright.  The music was good but had a lot of weird sound effects through out various portions of the workouts.  At one point, I thought her timer was going on and off.  In each workout, Jessica offer tips and encouragement.
