Workout 1 is around 51 minutes in length and features a warm up, 4 combos and a cool down. The warm up is around 8 minutes and the cool down is around 3 minutes.
In the main part of the workout, Amy teaches Combo 1 and 2. She then combines combos 1 and 2. She teaches combos 3 and 4 and then she combines 3 & 4 before moving into the cool down.
These are athletic step workouts. Amy cuing technique is that she throws it out there. So you get large chunks of choreography at once. Then she repeats it several times (at least three) before moving on.
The routine was not hard to pick up. The first time through I was following over my feet. By the last run through, I had most of the combo down. Plus, whatever you do on one side you repeat on the other. So of course, the second side I was much more efficient going through it than on the first side.
Workout 2 is the Advanced Workout. It contains a warm up, three combos, and a cool down. Amy teaches the combos in chunks.Essentially she throws half the combo at you, repeat it three times, an then adds the other half, repeat three times, then she puts it all together and you repeat the full combo three times. After teaching the combo on the second side, Amy combines both sides before moving on.
After the third combo, Amy takes your through all three combos twice through before moving on to the cool down.
In terms of choreography I did think workout 2 was more challenging than workout 1. These are athletic step workouts. In combo 1 of workout 2, there is a point where you go down to the step and perform a push up. There is a modification for this.
I thought the music in both workouts really good. Along with Amy, there are four other cast members and one cast member does show some modifications. There is a yoga stretch segment that is about 10 minutes..
This DVD is chaptered a bit funky. You have to go into the Chapters menu to select the two workouts and the yoga stretch segment. If you look at the time clock it appears as just one long workout. With that said, you are able to select any combo you want to focus on.
