10 Minute Solution Tighten & Tone Pilates - Thoughts

10 Minute Solutions Tighten & Tone Pilates is lead by Lara Hudson. The five 10 minutes segments are: Tightened & Tone core Defined Arms & Shoulders Trim & Slim Lower Body Total Body Toner Long & Lean Stretch This workout uses a a resistance band.  The resistance band comes with the DVD. I found this workout challenging.  Typically throughout all the segments, Lara has you do two sets.  Often adding variation in the second set to make it a little different. Working with the band is what made the workout challenging.  The most difficult part for me was when Lara had you place the band on the sole of the foot.  - keeping the band on the sole without it rolling up was an issue but usually in this position you were pushing the leg and arm in opposite direction which created a lot of tension.  30 Minutes To Fitness Muscle UP Lift 2B Fit is a sculpting workout designed to build or increase muscle strength by lifting heavy weights. The DVD contains two- 30 minute workouts. The first workout focuses on Chest,  Back and Shoulders. The second workout is all about the legs and the arms. * See worksheet for list of exercises. The DVD Menu offers the following selections: Introduction Workout One Workout Two Bonus "Abs" Premixes Outtakes Credits Music On/Off The premixes are: Full Body Workout (both workouts + abs) 67 min Shorter Full Body Workout 49 min Shoulders, Arms & Abs 39 min Chest & Back 19 min Legs/Glutes 19 min Quick Super Set Fix 1 37 min Quick Super Set Fix 2 35 min Muscle Up First Set Pump 29 min I did the Full Body Workout which contains the abs segment. The abs segment is a tabata abs where you are doing each exercise for 30 seconds with a 10 second rest.  You repeat the exercise four times before moving on to the next. D

10 Minute Solution Pilates for Beginners. There are five 10-Minute segments workouts on the is DVD.  And I did each 10 Minute segment as standalone workout or as add on to my morning workouts. The segments are: Core Basics Lower Body Basics Upper Body Basics Total Body Combo Long and Limber Stretch Even though this workout states that it is basic and for the most part it is, there were around two exercises that I found challenging.  Lara Hudson, the instructor does take time to set up each move. She emphasises proper breathing techniques for pilates.  With each move that Lara teaches, she gives you slight modifications to make the move more challenging.  There are not a lot of reps.  The most reps you will do for any exercise is eight. Equipment required - mat. This workout was okay. I thought Lara did a nice job a keeping pilates at a basics level. Kelly Coffey Meyers Home Gym Intervals - Thoughts

30 Minutes To Fitness Home Gym Intervals is a workout that alternates cardio and weights.  What makes this DVD workout a little different is that the cardio segments utilize cardio equipment such as a treadmill, spin bike or elliptical machine.  Really any cardio equipment that you have will work.  Kelly is using the treadmill as her cardio machine.  Along with Kelly, there are three cast members.  One cast member is on the Elliptical, one  a spin bike and another a Treadmill. Just like the previous 30-Minute To Fitness workouts, Home Gym Intervals include two 30 minute workouts and several premixes. The DVD gives you the following options: Introduction Workout One Workout Two Bonus-Waistline Premixes Outakes Credits Music On/Off Workouts one and two are self contained in that the each have their own warm up and cool down. Workout One clocks in at just under 33 minutes and Workout Two just under 29 minutes. The Premixes are: Combined Workouts 55 minutes Kelly'

June 2014 I am working out with some of my favorite girls this month; Amy Bento Ross, Kelly Coffee Meyer and Tracie Long. And for flexibility - I have been trying to add more stretch or yoga workouts this year - I am doing Discount Workouts Extra Stretch Series. I do have some 10 Minute Solution Add-ons planned as well.
