Michelle Dozois Sculpt & Define - Thoughts

Sculpt & Define is a 42 minute strength workout that is part of Michelle Dozois's Peak 10 Fit Body Challenge system.  This workout uses a set of heavy weights, a set of light weights as well as your own body weight to work all the major muscles in the body. Most of the exercises are compound and/or functional in nature. You are working in blocks.  Michelle will do a block of exercises before moving on to the next block.  Within the block, Michelle will start with  a basic or single move and then she layers on additional moves creating a series of move. All of the blocks are executed twice, often changing your lead side the second time through. Throughout the workout, Michelle uses a variety of tempos (slow or 1/2 time or at tempo). For the most part Michelle introduces a move at 1/2 tempo and once you have perform the exercise for a couple of reps, Michelle then speeds up the tempo and you  are doing single count. Michelle Dozois Cardio Core Crusher - Thoughts

Cardio Core Crusher is a 42 minute workout. It is  a download/streaming only workout and it is a workout that is included in Michelle Dozois's Peak 10 Fit Body Challenge. This workout uses a mat and it alternates cardio and core segments.  The cardio segments are relatively short, at least compared to the core segments. In this workout Michelle works the core from a variety of positions.  Michelle also follows a similar format to her other workouts in the series in that you run through each set twice through changing your lead side the second time through. During the cardio segments you use the mat as marker where you are often working around the mat or across the mat. There are a few standing core sections but for the most part you are going to the floor for the core segments. Thus, this workout contains a lot of up and down movement. Cardio Strength Studio V.2 is a download streaming workout that is a part of Michelle Dozois's Peak 10 Fit Body Challenge program. CS-Studio V2 contains 5 blocks that feature strength and cardio segments. You repeat all blocks two times through. During the second run time, you change your lead side.  Within each block your move through your base camp, ascent, climb, and peak. There are bell sounds that signal when you are about to move to the next phase. Block 1 is your warm up and it contains an ascent and climb.  This block does contain floor work and it uses light weights. There is no peak. Block 2 uses heavy weights. There is no floor work and the peak move is air jacks. I really enjoyed the climb in this block. It had some fun dance athletic moves that worked well with the music. Block 3 is your light weights block. It does contain floor work in the ascent segment.  Your peak move is the power hamstring. Block 4 uses heavy weights. It has floor work in the ascent

Michelle Dozois Cardio Interval Burn Studio V.1 - Thoughts

Cardio Interval Burn Studio V.1 is a 55-minute high-intensity interval workout. In this CIB version, Michelle takes you through a warm up, 4 cardio blocks, and a cool down. Except for the last cardio block, CIB Studio V1 is set up similarly to the other CIB workouts in that you have a base camp, ascent, climb, and peak.  There are bell sounds that indicate when you are about to transition to the next phase. The base camps are very brief. The peaks are longer than in the Cardio Strength workouts. Block 1 contains floor work and the peak move is a hitch kick back kick. Block 2 contains floor work and the peak move is a power squat power jump. Block 3 contains floor work and the peak move is a figure 8 squat. Block 4 contains floor work, 2 climbs, and 2 peaks. The peak moves are front kick hops and planks to frog jump.  The pattern for block 4 is base camp (very brief), ascent, climb 1, peak 1, climb2, peak 2.  So this setup is different than in other CIB workouts. Flex & Release is around 30 minutes and it is a full body stretch workout.  Michelle starts the workout with a series of neck and shoulder stretches.  Michelle uses a towel to increase the range of movement and/or to control the range of movement as you go through the stretches. For the most part all the stretches are static in nature so you should be warmed up before starting the workout. There are some dynamic stretches in the form of squat pulses. You are performing stretches in a variety of positions:  standing, seated, kneeling, prone, supine and from the plank and sumo positions. For most stretches, Michelle gives you the opportunity to practice the stretch twice per side.  Sometimes there are more reps but you are not staying in any stretch or posture for very long. The workout appears to be broken down into three segments: 1) First segment goes to around the 17 minute mark. 2) At the 17 minute mark, Michelle goes in to a lunge series for the second segment. 3) A

Cardio Strength Studio V1 is one of the workouts included in the Peak 10 Fit Body Challenge system.  This workout clocks in at under 57 minutes and for the most part it follows a similar pattern as Michelle's other cardio strength workouts. I say for the most part because I did not think this workout had much of a base camp. The base camp in previous CS workouts contain recovery moves to bring the heart rate down before you ramped up again. In this workout, base camp was mostly Michelle and her team high fiving each other after completely the peak.  Then she jumps right into the ascent of the next block. This workout definitely does feature the ascent, climb and peak segments. The ascent is used as your strength segment and all of the ascents use either light or heavy set of dumbbells. Michelle Dozois Sweat & Burn - Thoughts

Sweat & Burn is one of the workouts in Michelle Dozois's Peak 10 Fit Body Challenge program. The actual program is 8 weeks and this iteration of the program came with 7 new workouts. A host of supplemental material such a goal setting worksheets, menu options, rotation schedule, and detox guide were also included and available to download. This is not a DVD collection. You only have the option to stream and/or download the workouts. Sweat & Burn clocks in at just under 40 minutes and it is a cardio intense based workout that alters between low and high impact moves.  After a 5 minute workout, Michelle take you through a series of cardio combinations that she breaks down into blocks and repeats 4 times through. The pattern is you do the move leading right, then leading left for twice through. Then Michelle,cuts the reps in a half and you repeat the pattern leading right and then again left for a total of four times. For the most part you are doing 2, 4, or 8 reps
