Cathe Rev'd Up Rumble - Thoughts

Image
Rev'd Up Rumble is one of only two "aerobic" workout in the LITE series.  Rev'd Up Rumble is a kickboxing routine that clocks in right at 41 minutes.  The warm up is just over 9 minutes, which I thought was a bit long because I almost forgot we were still in the warm up, until Cathe said "let's move on" 😉. During the warm up, Cathe takes you through the standard punches, jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. You do a series of squats and practice your kicks.  The main part of the workout consist of kick and punch drills, boxing combos, and cardio drills. There is a little bit of impact but as the name LITE implies, it is low impact. Towards the end, there is a brief cool down before Cathe takes you through the stretch. The DVD Menu Getting Started Play Chapters Basic Premixes (There are 10) Timesaver Premixes (There are 9) Scrambled Premixes (There are 5) Bonuses (Calorie Crush, 6 Pack ABS #1, Pyramid Pump Shoulder, Extended Stretch #1) Audio

Cathe LITE Series Cardio Party - Thoughts

Image
Cardio Party is part of Cathe's LITE series. LITE stands for Low Impact Training Extreme. This workout clocks in at 39:04. Cardio Party features different cardio disciplines splice together for one high energy workout. Different types of cardio include - boxing, hi/lo, and blasts.  The blast were mostly drill based. For each segment, Cathe teaches the segment and you repeat the moves for a series of reps and/or your repeat the segment with the opposite lead. I like this work out. I liked it more than I thought I would because from the clip, I did not think I would like it a quite as much as I did. The DVD Menu Getting Started Play Chapters Basic Premixes (There are 6) Timesaver Premixes (There are 13) Scrambled Premixes (There are 7) Bonuses (Calorie Crush, 6 Pack ABS #1, Pyramid Pump Chest, Extended Stretch #1) Audio Setting (Normal Mix, Vocal Only Mix) Chapters breakdown as follows: warm up Boxing 1 Hi /Lo 1 Blast 1 Boxing 2 Hi /Lo 2 Blast 2 Boxing 3

Jessica Smith Walk On 4 Mile Power Walk - Thoughts

Image
Jessica Smith 4 Mile Power Walk is a basic indoor walking workout. Along with Jessica, there are two other cast members Beth and Debbie. You can choose to do the whole workout or any of the miles.  The workout runs continuously in that if you choose the play all option, you will see that the miles run into each other. There is not a definite stop/start. In the past, Jessica has given each mile a name or a particular emphasis.  That is not the case here. There is mile 1, mile 2, mile 3, and mile 4.  There is also a warm and a cool down.  You can choose any of the segments. You can skip ahead or hop back but your really can't customize or create a workout.  Each of the mile segments contain a timer that counts up and then resets itself as you go into the next mile.  There is not a timer for the warm up or cool down. I like Jessica's miles specific workouts. I like the music and set used in this workout. 4 Mile Power Walk - 4 stars

The NordicTrack Commercial X11i Review Part 2 - No True On-Board Workouts - Deceptive Advertising by NordicTrack

Image
The NordicTrack Commercial X11i Review Part 2 - story continues.... So now that I have a working treadmill, I began checking out all the features, making sure everything works and does what was advertised. I actually started this before but since I did not know if the control module controls anything but the belt, I waited to do a full check after we got the belt working. If you go to the NordicTrack website, it will tell you that the treadmill comes with 44 On-Board Workout Programs. The reviews I read said it came with 44 Built-In Programs, but for the life of me, I could not find out where these workouts were at on the treadmill console. I scoured the User Manual. It does not mention at all how to access the built-in programs. I went out to both myfitnesshelp.com (NordicTrack support site) and Ifit.com's support page and did a search on "on-board workouts" and nothing came back telling me how to find them. Surely I am not the only one who has asked this quest

The NordicTrack Commercial X11i Review Part 1 - My Brand New Treadmill Arrived and It Did Not Work!!!!!!

Image
NordicTrack Commercial X11i This is going to be a three-part review.  While I have had this treadmill for a month now, I have only been able to use it since Saturday and that is because it arrived broken. Yep!!! You heard me right. My $2000 new treadmill arrived and it did not work. I ordered the treadmill on January 1.  The treadmill arrived on January 17.  My husband put the treadmill together January 19 and when we turned it on, the belt did not move. It was very simple for my husband to put together, but before calling Nordictrack, we made sure everything was connected properly and it was.  Called NordicTrack and the first thing you hear when they pick up is how there is a "higher call volume than usual, and wait times will be long" They were not lying. In this process, I have had to call them four times and the least amount of time I waited on the phone was 41 minutes. When you are holding all of this time, they constantly tell you to go out to myfitnesshelp.c

Introduction to my three part review of the NordicTrack Commercial X11i

Image
This is an introduction to what is going to be a three-part review and/or synopsis of my experience buying and using my new treadmill. This is the fourth treadmill that I have purchased.  Prior to this one, I had a manual treadmill that I got in the late 90s but I forget which brand.  In the early 2000s, I bought a Proform treadmill.  In 2011, I bought another Proform and now I have the NordicTrack X11i. I will post Part 1 and Part 2 today.  And then in about a month, I will post Part 3.   I broke it up into three parts because I wanted to share my experience with the purchase process and it was getting quite long.  Part 3 will come in about a month because I have only used the treadmill twice even though I have had it for about a month and I want to use it more before I delve more into what I like about it and what I don't like as far as actually using the treadmill goes. For all of you who do read my reviews, thanks😊 .  I know I have not posted much this year.  Reviews wi
