December 2021 Workouts

  December 2021 Workouts - What I did. Planned rotation got interrupted with an unexpected trip.  I was able to lean into Jessica Smith YouTube workouts to get in some focus exercise. That ended up being okay as I had planned to do Kelly Coffey-Meyers two new workouts but they will not be shipped out until next year. This month consisted of Treadmill walks, Cathe, Zumba, The FIRM, Jessica Smith and Tracie Long. I did do a workout from Classical Strength Season 14. I did not really like that workout. The Tracie Long Focus workouts were deceptively tough. It has been a minute since I have done these workouts.

Tamilee Webb Total Stretch for Beginners - Thoughts

Total Stretch for Beginners with Tamilee Webb is a compilation DVD that contains two of Tamilee's previously release stretch workouts. The two programs on this DVD are: Total Body Stretch for Beginners Beginners Stretch for Flexibility Total Body Stretch for Beginners is broken down into three 10-minute  segments.  Segment one is standing.  Segment two is sitting.  Segment three is floor.  I did these segments after my Sunday treadmill runs.  Segment two requires a chair.  Segment three a mat. I really enjoyed these workouts.  In each 10-minute workout, I felt I got a total body stretch workout using the various positions. In Beginners Stretch for Flexibility , Tamilee starts out by giving beginner tips on technique and breathing. She then proceeds to take you through a series of modified yoga and athletic poses, starting at the top and moving down the body. As she goes through the workouts she points out what muscle group you are stretching.  Also, you are performing each stretc

Kelly Coffey-Meyer Coffeyfit-Raw Fitness Ladder 2 - Review

Fitness Ladder 2 is a 60-minute plus workout from Kelly's RAW series.  In this workout, Kelly  has your doing a series of 14 exercises back-to-back.  You get a minute break and then your repeat the exercises in reverse order.  You get another minute break and then your repeat the exercises again in the original order. All in all, you are doing three sets of each of the excises and you are doing each exercise for a minute. And yes, on some exercises, the minute got long.  Within each exercise, Kelly varies the tempo of the exercises. Some are single count, some you are doing a 3/1 count etc. Kelly uses two sets of  weights (light and heavy). Throughout the workout you will hear the timer bell go off, signaling the start and/or stop of the minute. There is a warm up and cool down but there is no menu. As soon as you put the DVD in, the DVD begins to play and goes straight into the workout after about 20 seconds.  Joining Kelly in the workout is Noelle. Fitness Ladder 2 - 3 & 3/

Jessica Smith Gentle Yoga Plus Pilates - Thoughts

Gentle Yoga Plus Pilates is a Jessica Smith two in one workout. It is a core strength and stretch workout that combines exercises from both yoga and Pilates disciplines. The DVD Menu Introduction Standing Series Floor Flow Play All  The Standing Series clocks in at 31:35.  In this portion of the workout, Jessica takes you through a series of standing poses that challenge your balance and improve your flexibility. There is a bit a strength and range of motion exercises as you move throughout the session. Some of the moves in this workout are:  back expansion, mountain pose, plie series, chair flow series, leg pulls, leg circles, crescent, standing 100s, and triangle. The Floor Flow series is performed either seated, lying or kneeling.  This segment clocks in at 33:33.  Some of the moves you are doing in Floor Flow are seated twist, mermaid, side planks, roll ups, scissors, bridge over, locust, elbow plank, roll like a ball, v-sit, and kneeling crescent. October 2021 Monthly Rotation Schedule

October 2021 Monthly Workout Schedule Well I was planning on going to Cathe Road Trip in New Jersey, but Cathe cancelled the trip. So I signed up to run the Bay Bridge in Annapolis MD because it is happening the same weekend that the Cathe RT was scheduled.  I have run in the Bay Bridge race before but I am not sure how I will do.  We will see how it goes as this will be my first race I have entered in over three years. This month I focused on preparing for the 6.2 mile run  and along with doing treadmill workouts, I am also doing FIRM Classic, FIRM BSS workouts and Jessica Smith workouts.

  September 2021 Monthly Workout Schedule This month consisted of Beach Body Les Mills Pump program, outdoor walking, treadmill walking, Barre Amped Stretching, and KCM 30 Minute-to-fitness workouts. I also did Cathe 2021 workouts, and I got in some old school Amy Bento workouts. Forgot how much I loved Amy Bento Kickbox workouts.  

Cathe Boss Loops Glutes & Core

Boss Loops Glutes & Core is a 52 minute lower body focused workout.  There are three color coded loops. Cathe only uses two of the loops (orange and green) in the workout. The orange loop has lightest tension.   Green loop is medium tension. Blue loop has the heaviest tension. There is a standing segment and a floor segment. Within the floor segment, there is lower body floor and core floor.  Something I did not like about the workout was the fact that Cathe and crew already had their loops on at the beginning of each segment. They are not changing the loop color along with you. So she will end one segment with the green loop. When the next segment starts, she already has on the orange loop. With that said, while I felt rushed, there was enough time to make the switch before Cathe started the exercise. Except for the warm up and stretch, the loops are used throughout. Cathe Boss Bands Total Body - Thoughts

Boss Bands Total Body is a 57 minute low impact strength workout that uses resistance bands instead of weights to tone and sculpt the body. DVD Menu Getting Started Play Chapters Premixes  (There are 8 premixes) Audio Settings The workouts use resistance cords that are banded together. The cords are color coded as follows: Orange - easy or lightest tension Green - medium tension Blue - heaviest tension Cathe uses the bands throughout the workout including the warm up and ending stretch. She tells you which band color to grab.  On certain exercises, she will tell you that you don't have to use the band, or to grab two bands.  The only time I sat the bands down was during the biceps section. I picked up dumbbells. So clocking in at just over 57 minutes, I thought this was  a long workout. Most workouts I do nowadays are between 30 and 40 minutes. August 2021 Monthly Rotation - What I did

  August 2021 Monthly Rotation This month was mostly Kelly Coffey Meyer 30-Minute To Fitness workouts. Sundays I threw in a 5K.  And Friday's was Cathe BootCamp workouts. Still, two more 30MTF workouts to do for the month. Thus far, workouts have gone fairly well.

July 2021 - Monthly Rotation - What I did.

July 2021 Monthly Rotation All in all. I had a good month of workouts. I only missed two of the schedule workouts and they were July 7 and 9. I was supposed to do the second and third workout from Tracy Anderson Mat workout but I did not do them. The toughest workout by far was Autumn's The FIX Challenge. I was sweaty buckets doing that workout. I also enjoyed Chalene's Johnson Turbofire HiiT workouts as it has been ages since I have done any of those workouts. My Sunday treadmill  workouts have been going well. 2 of the 4 Sundays, I ran for the full three miles. The other 2 Sunday's, I ran for at least 2.5 miles or the 3. This month I did upper body add-on where I worked one muscle group through the work week. Monday - Chest Tuesday - Back Wednesday - Shoulders Thursday - Biceps Friday - Triceps This past Tuesday, I think I went too heavy on back because my back has been tight since then. June 2021 - Workout Rotation - What I Did

  June 2021 Rotation I was looking for short and sweet workouts. And The FIRM's 20 minute workout fit the bill.  Workouts this month include FIRM Express series, treadmill walk/runs, and Michelle Dozois strength workouts.  I also through in (not shown) some Jeanette Jenkins Sexy Abs workout session. All in all, June was a good workout month.  The only thing I switch out from my original schedule was I swapped  out Treadmill 2 mile for Jessica Smith's Cardio Hits workouts.

May 2021 Workout Rotation - What I Did

   May 2021 Workouts Workouts for May mostly consisted of treadmill runs/walks and Jessica Smith Walk Strong Series of Workouts.  I had a mini-vacation this month, so there were more rest days or days in which I did not workout than I normally like.

April 2021 - Workouts - What I Did

  April 2021 My rotation for April consisted of treadmill, Cathe, The FIRM, Zumba and one of Jessica Smith's new workout. I have not been particularly motivated to complete an actual rotation. So for April, I decided to do a plan but not hold myself to the plan if I felt like doing something else. Originally, for April I had all Cathe workouts schedule, but later decided to switch it up. The only thing that I am committed to is to do at least 30 minutes of any workout  six days a week. Most workouts that I schedule are between 30 and 40 minutes.  The only real exception was Sunday treadmill runs.

January 2021 - Monthly Rotaion

  Happy New Year January 2021 Improvement. That is my word for 2021. Improve my workouts either in form, amount of reps I can do, or the amount of weight I can lift. Due to work commitments, I have already had several adjustments to my January 2021 rotation.  Over the new two months, I will be doing a combination of Essentrics Toning., 10 Minute Solution pilates, weight training (Cathe), Les Mill Cardio, Amy Bento Cardio. I am hoping my schedule can settle back down in March.
