Andrea Rogers Xtend Pilates

XB Pilates by Andrea Rogers is a 3-week program that consist of 12 main workouts and 2 bonus workout.  The main workouts clock in around 30 minutes.  The bonus workouts are around 10-minutes, These are streaming workouts on bodi.com formerly BeachBody. The workouts Week 1 Level 1 Hit the Mat 1 Cardio Fusion 1 Sculpt & Define 1 Abs & Booty 1 Express Abs - bonus Week 2 Level 2 Hit the Mat 2 Cardio Fusion 2 Sculpt & Define 2 Abs & Booty 2 Stretch Session - bonus Week 3 Level 3 Hit the Mat 3 Cardio Fusion 3 Sculpt & Define 3 Abs & Booty 3 I did the first week of workouts. I found them to be quite challenging, so I switch to Bodi's Beginner Pilates with Lisa Hubbard.

August 2023 Monthly Rotation

                               August 2023 Monthly Rotation For August, I will be doing CoffeyFit  RAW  & RAW Timesaver workouts at the beginning and end of the month. In the middle of the month, I have BODi Andrea Rogers' Xtend Pilates workouts on tap.  Michelle Dozois cardio and iFiT treadmill workouts complete the month. 

Bodi XB Sweat + Sculpt with Andrea Rogers - Thoughts

XB Sweat + Sculp t by Andrea Rogers is a new program at BODi (formerly Beach Body). All the workouts  that are a part of the series are listed below. However, I only did the first two weeks plus the  express stretch workout. The main workouts are 30-minute (ranging from 28 min to 32 mins) in length.  The express workouts are around 15-minutes.  Each of the workouts I did had a beginner modifier.  Ankle weight, resistance band and a mat are on the equipment list.  Andreas uses both the band and ankle weights for lower and upper body resistance moves.   Each of the 30-minute sweat workouts included some form of toning (whether that was targeting the core, lower, or upper  body or even total body).  The sweat workouts alternated cardio dance segments with sculpting toning segment. The sculpt workouts were pretty much strictly sculpting with a particular focus. Andrea worked the body at various levels (i.e. seated, standing, lying, all fours...

May 2023 Monthly Workout Schedule This month is Jessica Smith barre inspired workouts and Andrea Rogers XB Sculpt & Sweat workouts.  For Sundays I am still continuing with with iFIT 5K USA workouts.  On tap this month, I will be running through California, Colorado an Connecticut.  

BeachBody Xtend Barre - First 10 Workouts

  Xtend Barre workouts are 30-minute intermediate barre workouts developed and led by Andrea Rogers.  They include a blend of barre, ballet, and Pilates style movement.   To date, I have done Barre Basics and 10 of the Xtend Barre workouts.  Each one has been quite challenging for me. They are listed as intermediated and you can definitely see and feel the uptick from a beginner style barre workouts. The program comes with various 30-day Calendar rotations for working out every day of the week.  The six week rotation that I created for myself and started in August, I am doing the workouts 5 days a week. I was taking a rest day on Saturday and Sunday is my treadmill day.   For September I was thinking about cutting back the number of Xtend Barre workouts I was doing to either three or four, as I have been feeling some fatigue but I nixed that idea and decided to press on with the rotation. September Monthly Rotation

September 2022 I am almost third of the way through a six-week Xtend Barre rotation.  These workouts are 30-minutes and they have been quite challenging for me. To date, I have done 9 workouts. Going into September, I was temped to break up the rotation a bit to give myself a break from the workouts, but I am  going to stick with it.  What I am adding to it for September are Xtend Stretch workouts on Saturday for Active Recovery and then again on Sunday after my treadmill workouts  I am bumping up the treadmill workout distance  to 4.5 miles.  For August, I had been doing 4-miles. In addition to my monthly rotation, I am also doing a more water no soda 30-day challenge.   

Andrea Rogers - Lean & Chiseled

Xtend Barre Lean & Chiseled is a 55 minute "dance and Pilates inspired workout". The workout is led by Andrea Rogers. Along with Andrea, there are two cast members - one who demonstrates beginner modification moves and one who demonstrates more advance moves. The workout is broken up into the following sections: Warm Up (6 min) Upper Body (11 min) Barre (23 min) Core (10 min) Cool Down (5 min) In the Upper Body section, Andrea uses 1 lbs weights. The Barre Section is the lower body section and Andrea uses a chair in place of a ballet barre. For the Core section as Mat is used. The set has a really clean and minimalistic look. The music is good. The workout isn't necessarily set to the music but the music has more than just a background feel to me. For the most part the music sounds like something you would hear in a "hip" clothing store. This type of workout is always challenging for me; and this workout was no different. 10 Minute Solution Dance Your Body Thin includes 5 ten minute workouts. And, like most 10 Minute Solution workouts, I like some sections better than others. The different sections are: - Smooth & Sexy Moves (cardio) 3 stars - Dance Toner (toning) 5 stars - Get Fit Club Mix (cardio) 4 stars - Cardio Dance Party (cardio) 4 stars - Ballet Sculpt (toning) 3 stars My favorite sections in this workout was Dance Toner and Ballet Sculpt. I thought Smooth and Sexy Moves was generic, but the other two cardio workouts mixed it up pretty well. The workout is led by Andrea Leigh Rogers and I thought she cued pretty well. I didn't have any trouble picking up the sets. Also she established and followed a set pattern throughout. So once you did the first section, you are pretty much able to anticipate the order of the moves in the next section. This workout using a toning belt that goes around your waist and hip area.
