Flat Abs Solutions is led by Rebekah Sturkie. The DVD contains five workouts. Four are 10 minutes in length and the fifth workout is 20 minutes in length. There is also a bonus 10 minute downloadable workout. The workouts are : Core Toner - 10 minutes. This workout is floor based. You are either lying or seated on the floor as you perform each move. It uses a dumbbell for added resistance. Boat, chops, bicycle, and modified push ups are some of the exercises performed. Firm and Flat Abs - 10 minutes. This workout features floor and standing moves. Most of the exercises are based in functional fitness - lots of lunge reaches. A pair of dumbbells are used for added resistances. Boot Camp Burn - Also 10 minutes in length and it also uses a pair of dumbbells. And there are burpees. It has been awhile since I have done a workout with a burpee. So it didn't bother me and I jumped right in. Other exercises are spider man planks and knee pulls Flat Belly Sculptor - 10 minutes. ...

The Firm Kick It Into Gear - Thoughts

Image
Kick it Into Gear is a 15 minute bonus workout that comes on the Get Chisel'd DVD. It features Rebekah Sturkie and it boast that you can burn 175 calories in 15 minutes. I actually clock the workout at 14:25. What surprised me about the workout was how long the warm-up was. The warm-up is almost 5 minutes. It is a good warm-up but I thought it was too long for a 15 minute workout and I started to doubt whether or not I was actually going to burn 175calories. The warm-up also included a series of push up moves that Rebekah alternates with plank core moves. I think you end up doing 16 push ups total. After the push ups, you move into the workout - which starts with a mini kickbox routine. Then comes a series of calf pumps into plyo jumps. This is followed by squat pulses into kicks. Next comes your run or skip into power high knees and then toe taps with speed bag arms. And then of course, comes the squat thrust or burpees. To be honest, I was surprised that they didn't show up...

The FIRM Express System Cycle 2 Accelerate - Thoughts

Image
The FIRM Express System Cycle 2 Accelerate features Master Instructor Rebekah Sturkie. It also contains three 20 minute workouts and it is build as the cycle where you " Carve and FIRM muscles while blasting calories !" It uses moderate to high impact with weights in the range of 8 to 12 lbs. The first workout I did in this cycle was Accelerate Cardio Sculpt . I like the warm up and opening sequence in this workout. One thing I have notice is that there seems to be a lot of hinging at the waste across the board in the workouts I have done so far. This seems to be a pattern with the various FIRM systems. That a certain move will appear in all the workouts throughout at particular series. I don't know if it will turn out to be this way for The FIRM Express System because I haven't done the other cycles yet. The burst in this Cardio Sculpt are : Burst 1 - V Hops Burst 2 - One Leg Vertical Jump Burst 3 - Plie power jumps with scoop arms Burst 4 - Speed squat shuffle ...

The FIRM Target Toning Zero-In-Ten - Thoughts

Image
Target Toning Zero-in-Ten is a FIRM workout(s) and it is led by Rebekah Sturkie and Emily Welsh. It consist of five 10-minute workouts. The workouts are Lean Legs (Rebekah), Fearless Arms (Rebekah), Bikini Body Blaze (Emily), ABS-olute Core (Rebekah) and Bun Burn (Emily). Each of the 10 minutes consist of a brief warm up in the beginning and a cool down/stretch at the end. Rebekah uses weights in her three workouts and her three workouts are interval based (cardio burst and strength training). The workouts include the standards interval style exercises (including the burpee - appears in Abs-solute Core). Emily does not use weights in her workouts. Bikini Body Blaze is basically a multi-level cardio workouts. By multi-level, Emily starts at level one (easiest) and goes up to level three (hardest) by adding more intense moves. Bun Burn works the lower body using your own body resistance. You can use each 10 minute workout on its own or you can choose to do all 5 sections in the P...
