Michael Olajide Jr Aero Power Round 1 - Review

Image
AeroPower Round 1 is described as a Women's Upper Body Workout.  It is lead by Michael Olijade Jr of AeroSpaceNY and the Aerobox System.  Aero Power clocks in at around 45 minutes and it is made up of rounds. As you complete a round, a 10 second countdown appears on the screens and counts down the last remaining seconds. The workout then fades out and a graphic reappears introducing the next round - telling you what you are going to do and what equipment that you need for that round. Before the next segment starts, another countdown (this time 3 seconds) appears to cue you to start performing. The workout alternates jump rope segments with sculpt segments. Throughout the segments Michael alters the tempo by slowing the move down and speeding the move up.  All the sculpt segments use light weights except for the triceps dip. Expect lots of reps. The segments require a lot of endurance.  I was definitely feeling the work in my shoulders and I was using one pou...

Aerospace Savage - Thoughts

Image
Savage is a workout featuring Michael Olijade Jr. It clocks in at about 55 minutes. The workout consist of boxing drills, jump rope drills and squat drills. Each round features these three disciplines and there are four rounds. The warm up is about 3 minutes and as warm ups go, I didn't care for it. Michael does tell you if you are not warmed up enough to do more. The Savage workout does not have a cool down. There is a second workout on this disc called Serene (reviewed July 11, 2010) that you can do for your cool down if you like but it is a 30 minute workout. The set is a boxing ring that has a chair in corner, a water bottle on the floor and it's dark. At one point, in one of the rounds or at the end of the round, Michael tells you to keep moving but he goes and sits in the chair that is in the corner. I thought that comical. The music, I think is pretty good. The workout is choreograph pretty precisely with the music. When Michael does the boxing speed drills, the...

AeroSpace AeroBarre - Thoughts

Image
AeroBarre is a 50 minute workout that combines ballet and boxing interval cardio and sculpting sets. It features Leila Fazel as the "demonstrator" of the moves and exercises and Michael Olajide Jr as the narrator. The set is a boxing ring, although Leila doesn't use the ring. She exercises in front of it. The workout contains 11 rounds, but the rounds are short. There is a warm up and cool down round and in between that, there are rounds that feature ballet moves, boxing moves and a combination of ballet and boxing moves. Leila uses a light set of hand weights and a body bar in various parts of the exercises. There were simple cardio burst dispersed throughout. This is a really unique workout and I felt quite challenged. I am not very good at ballet or boxing, although I like them both. Leila varied the tempo quite a bit. The faster she would go, the harder it would be for me to controls the move and it didn't matter if she was doing boxing drills or ballet drills. ...

Aerospace Serene Review

Image
Aerospace Serene is a 30 minute stretch program lead by Leila Fazel and narrated by Michael Olajide. First let me say Michael is very easy to listen to. For the most part, I do not like narrated workouts, but his workouts I do not mind. With this 30 minute program you are getting a pretty thorough stretch for the upper and lower body. Each pose is held sufficiently to stretch the muscles and most poses are doable. The workout features traditional stretches and yoga postures. There is a pretty good flow to the exercises as you move from one stretch position to the next. All in all an incredibly solid workout that does its job. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
